Spurs pull off the impossible

The San Antonio Spurs were facing elimination against the Memphis Grizzlies. With about 2 seconds left the Manu Ginoboli makes a very difficult 3 from the corner. But the referees noted that his left foot was on the line so they counted it as a 2. The spurs foul the Grizzlies and now its a 3 point game with about 2 seconds left. The rook Gary O'Neil makes a 3 at the buzzer so the game goes to overtime. Than the Spurs take advantage and win the game with the help of  veteran Tony Parker. Now the Spurs are down 3-2 and need to win the next two games which is very difficult against the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have never won a playoff series and hope to make this their first.

Denver wins Game 4, 104-101

Ty Lawson scored a career playoff high 27 points, Danilio Gallinari had 18 and the Denver Nuggets staved off elimination with a nail-biting 104-101 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 31 and Russell Westbrook had 30. Serge Ibaka had 13 points and 14 rebounds for his third double-double of the series. The Nuggets avoided being swept for the second time in four years but had to sweat it out late in the game. Felton missed very important free throws and almost blew their lead. But are now down 3-1 and the Nuggets have to win 3 games in a row to win the series which is very tough because they are against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The New Orleans Hornets hold off the L.A Lakers

New Orleans hold off the Lakers from gaining a 3-1 lead and now the series is tied. Chris Paul ends up with triple double to square the series. It was a close game the whole way even at the end but the Hornets pulled a away and it was 93-88. In other news Derrick Rose had a MRI done on his ankle and is suppose to play Tuesday the Chicago Bulls lead that series 3-1.

Another hard year for the New York Knicks

It has been a tough decade for the New York Knicks it seems like the last time the Knicks won a playoff game was in 1941. The Knicks last playoff appearance was in 2004 when they got swept in the first round by the New Jersey Nets. The last playoff victory was in 2001 to Toronto. But hopefully next year they could acquire another elite player like Chris Paul. But they have to decide if they want to pay 14 million dollars for veteran Chauncey Billups who sat out when he saw he team get swept by the Boston Celtics. He was the man who stabilizes the Knicks offense and without him the offense just collapsed.But if they get Chris Paul next year their team will be very dangerous and possibly can reach deep in the playoffs. At one point in today's game the Knicks were down by 23 but Anthony Carters presence gave the Knicks a run to only a 4 point deficit. But with the help of Kevin Garnett who was not very productive in the first half came big in the second half and pulled the game in the last 5 minutes away from the Knicks. I don't think Coach D'Antoni will be the head coach of the New York Knicks very long.
